The time was flying by so fast lately and everything was going unusually smooth. The babies had been growing at a normal pace and they were now walking. Both Olivia and Luca were a little over a year old now, so energetic and full of life. They knew a few words such as Mommy, Daddy, yes and no. They were terribly adorable and completely attached to their parents. Damon and Katherine had been married for two years now and they were extremely satisfied. The couple always did everything together and took very good care of their beautiful twins.
Damon was sitting in the parlor reading one of the many books he’d just purchased at the book store when they had gone with the twins. The story was extremely engrossing however he was sidetracked by the sound of tiny feet stopping on the hard wood floor. He could hear the sound in the foyer, the little thrumming of the humming bird heartbeat and the tiny little breaths being taken. The smell of his daughter as she entered the room brought a smile to his face. Olivia smelled of fresh lavender and honey, obviously fresh out of a bath not to long ago. Katherine must have been in the kitchen with them for he could also smell a dessert being baked. It paid having vampire senses when you had little ones running around. The tiny steps stopped behind the couch, but he waited intently for her to walk around. “Daddyyy,” Olivia cooed, running in front of the couch and laughing as she found her father. Damon smiled tossing the book aside and extending his arms to his precious daughter. “Daddyyyyy,” she squealed again running right into his arms as he lifted her to his chest. “Hello baby girl!” He exclaimed, kissing her tiny cheeks before she nestled close to him, her tiny hands gripping the material of his v neck. Standing up from the couch he bounced her lightly causing her to laugh and giggle. “Did you get away from Mommy?” He asked, a chuckle escaping his lips while she babbled away. Walking into the kitchen he found Katherine with Luca, feeding him as he sat in his high chair. “Look who ran away Mama Bear,” he mused, before gliding over to his wife and placing a sweet kiss on her lips.
